Dr. Mahadevan is the lead Consultant for Lung Cancer, Sleep disorders & Non-Invasive Ventilation at the James Paget University Hospital, Norfolk, UK. After Primary medical qualification from Madurai Kamaraj University in South India, Dr. Mahadevan got trained in General Medicine at the Madras Medical College. He has been in the UK since 1992, where he underwent higher training in General & Respiratory Medicine at Manchester & the Royal Brompton Hospital in London. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London & Edinburgh, as well as the American College of Chest Physicians. He has been a Consultant Physician in the NHS over the past 2 decades. He is deeply involved in medical education with the teaching & training of medical students, junior doctors, and allied healthcare professionals. He is the Respiratory Module lead & Honorary Professor of Respiratory Medicine at Norwich Medical School & University of East Anglia.
Dr. Mahadevan has been a past editor of the RCP London Newsletter & the College Commentary. He has also previously served on RCP (London) Council. He is an MRCP (UK) examiner since 2005 & is Chair of the PACES Scenario Editorial Committee (SEC). He is also a core member of the RCP’s Clinical Examinations Board (CEB) & is the Chair of examiners at MRCP PACES diets both in the UK & overseas. He is one of the founder faculty members of the Excelpaces course at KIMSHealth.
